「Itachi and the Uchiha Massacre」
Uchiha Itachi is Sasuke's insanely powerful and deadly elder brother. His parents describe him as different from other people; he's very antisocial and incapable of becoming attached to others. No one really understands him or his intentions. Though, he's definitely a prodigy; he graduated at 7, became chunin at 8, used his sharingan at 9, and became part of ANBU at 13. At age 13, he murdered his entire clan except Sasuke. He's now an S-class missing-nin of Konaha, and has joined the terrorist group called "Akatsuki".
Itachi and Sasuke's relationship didn't go too well. Sasuke was rather envious and jealous of Itachi, and Itachi didn't really care about his little brother. He was Sasuke's role model, and Sasuke always asked him to teach him something new or to train with him. He would make promises and break them, but Sasuke somehow forgave him.
In the Uchiha Clan, many acknowledged Itachi. They took pride in having such a prodigious child a part of them. They watched Itachi grow up, but Sasuke lived in his shadow.
In school, Sasuke would always tell himself to work harder to become better than Itachi; he didn't want to lose to him.
Then, one fateful day, Sasuke's personality became bitter. When he was late from school and arriving close to home, he encountered slain bodies of all around the streets. He noticed that everyone in his clan was massacred, and then immediately ran home.
He frantically looked around the house, then heard a noise coming from one of the other rooms. When he approaches the door, he suddenly freezes of fear. He keeps repeatedly tells himself "Ugoki, ugoki" ("move, move"), which this is where it came from when he said it during the second part of the Chunin exam.
As he enters the room, he finds his parent's bodies slumped over and slain. Itachi appears over them.
Sasuke asks why he did this, and Itachi replies he wanted to test his capabilities; to see how far he could go. Then, though his Mangekyo Sharingan, he shows how he killed everyone in the clan. He declares that for the rest of Sasuke's life, he'll be living off of the hatred that Itachi has drowned him in.
Does it ring a bell? When comparing Itachi and Sasuke, they both shared the same bitter personalities. Sasuke, now around 12 or 13, was just as distant and antisocial as Itachi was at his age.
and now that you know his story...
