A Brief Introduction

“As a teenager, he has his share of concerns, but he manages to keep an upbeat attitude. He may seem simple-minded at times, but he has a strong sense of justice.”

As the cheerful boy with a brown mess of hair wielding an enormous key, Sora is the main hero of the Kingdom Hearts RPG series. At the start of the original installment, he’s a fourteen-year-old who doesn’t quite know what he’s doing, other than following his heart. He is the so-called Keyblade Master, chosen by the key because of his strong heart, and fights his enemies, the Heartless and Nobodies, along the way. As he travels to worlds outside of his home, Destiny Islands, he meets and interacts with a variety of familiar figures from the Disney franchise and Final Fantasy games. Along the way he “locks” each of worlds with his Keyblade in order to stop the Heartless from overflowing. Each world contains its own boss(es), including Disney foes, Final Fantasy villains, Heartless, Nobodies, and the like. By the second game, at 15 years of age, Sora has somewhat matured, both mentally and physically, and he continues to fight for the safety of the worlds. His main opponent for the past few games has been Ansem, or rather, some form of him.

Designed by Nomura Tetsuya, Sora’s character is voiced by Haley Joel Osment in the English version, and Irino Miyu in Japanese. Sora’s role spans several games in the series, being primarily involved in the original Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. Although he is not always necessarily the main focus of all the games involving Kingdom Hearts, he continues, and will continue, to be somehow involved.

If you would like to know a bit more about basic information, I've put the following pages up on Sora and the people who surround him.
